Contact

The Pergande Group is involved in various research and development projects. This work has focused primarily on the now-completed activities within the WIGRATEC Innovative Regional Growth Center and the InnoProfile early-career research group NaWiTec.
Promising topics such as Industry 4.0, digitalization, and internationalization also play a major role in our current research projects and are supported through our work.

Reliable Prediction of Conditions in Process Plants (TwinGuide Project)

Manufacturing processes in the chemical and food industries must be precise, efficient, and safe. Process engineering production facilities are therefore specifically designed for each individual end product to deliver optimal results. Automatic process control systems manage these complex plants. If parts of the process plant are replaced over time, the specifications of the products to be manufactured change, or product changes are planned, the process control must also be adapted.

In the TwinGuide project, we are making process plants fit for the future by combining the digital twin with (real-time) simulations of the processes taking place inside them. This combination results in a process-intelligent digital twin that enables precise adjustment of process parameters and predictive process control.

Electricity-based, energy-efficient, and smart drying using superheated steam (LowCarbDry)

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT – LowCarbDry

We at Pergande GmbH are pleased to announce that, together with Evonik Operations GmbH, German Pneumatics Engineering GmbH, and the Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research (a registered association) as project partners, to carry out the research project “Electricity-Based, Energy-Efficient, and Intelligent Drying with Superheated Steam (LowCarbDry).” The subproject aims to develop a demonstration plant for hot-steam spray drying. This is intended to contribute to decarbonization in industry.

Project duration: September 1, 2023 – August 31, 2026
