At the Pergande Group’s Process Technology Center (PTC), we work with our customers to develop and optimize new products, formulations, and processes. The development process ranges from initial laboratory testing through pilot-scale trials to preparation for industrial implementation.
Development on a Laboratory and Pilot Scale
Initially, suitable formulation and process approaches are investigated and evaluated for technical feasibility. In the laboratory, formulations, process parameters, and product properties can be specifically varied and compared with one another.
Successful approaches are then scaled up to the pilot level. This allows the findings obtained in the laboratory to be further developed under conditions that more closely resemble real-world scenarios and to establish a solid foundation for scale-up.
Product Development and Characterization
The focus is on the targeted development of the desired product properties. The experiments are accompanied by physical and chemical analysis, allowing the formulation, process conditions, and product properties to be systematically coordinated.
Product Samples and Initial Batches
Based on successful development work, product samples can be produced for internal testing, application testing, or customer sampling. Depending on the stage of development and the specific requirements, it is also possible to produce initial larger batches for further testing and market applications.
From PTC to Industrial Scale
The integration of laboratory, pilot plants, analytical testing, engineering, and in-house production enables seamless further development. Successful processes can be scaled up for industrial implementation and—where appropriate—continued on existing production lines at Pergande or at the customer’s site.
