Polymer Drying
12,000 metric tons per year production capacity. Completed in approximately 17 months.
With the P-1/P-2 facility, the Pergande Group has established a production plant for continuous polymer drying at its Weißandt-Gölzau site. The Group’s in-house engineering department handled the overall planning; the Group’s equipment and plant engineering division supplied the central process equipment.
The project combines the company’s own process engineering and manufacturing capabilities with the requirements of industrial plant operations. The design, engineering, and production were coordinated with one another as early as the planning phase.
Continuous Drying and Pelletization
The plant processes a liquid polymer formulation into dry granules with a defined residual moisture content and bulk density. Drying and granulation take place in a fluidized bed.
Product feeding, process air supply, and solid discharge are designed for continuous industrial operation. Key factors included the required annual capacity, reproducible product properties, and the reduction of specific energy consumption.
Heat Recovery
The integrated heat recovery system reduces the need for externally supplied heat. Compared to the reference process, production-related CO₂ emissions per kilogram of product are reduced by 50%.

Plant Builder and Operator
In this project, Pergande combines planning and manufacturing with operations at its own production site. This allowed requirements for operation, maintenance, and production processes to be directly incorporated into the plant design.
