Pergande develops and manufactures custom systems for the production and drying of powders and granules. The selection of the system type depends on the feedstock, production capacity, and the desired properties of the final product.
The systems summarized here operate on the principle of convection: A treated gas stream transfers heat to the product and carries away evaporated moisture.
Fluidized-Bed Systems
For granulation, agglomeration, coating, and drying, Pergande offers round fluidized-bed systems as well as rectangular fluidized-bed dryers. The range extends from laboratory and pilot-scale systems to industrial systems for batch or continuous operation.
Spray Towers
Spray towers enable the production of dry powders from solutions and suspensions. The liquid feedstocks are atomized and dried upon contact with the process gas. Pergande tailors the atomization, drying chamber, and powder collection to the specific application.
Fixed-bed dryers
Fixed-bed dryers are used to dry products in a stationary bed of material. The process gas flows through the product bed without fluidizing it. Pergande adapts the gas flow, bed height, and temperature to the drying behavior and the permissible product stress.
From Product Testing to the Right System
At the Process Technology Center, we investigate suitable process approaches and determine the fundamentals for plant design. The focus is on the behavior of the customer’s product, the achievable product quality, and the required operating conditions.
